Our Ramblers walks are held almost every Sunday with a few midweek ones throughout the year; these are mostly short morning walks ending at a pub for lunch. Soon when the evenings are lighter we organise the occasional evening and Saturday outing.
The terrain can vary and the length can be between 4 miles to 12 miles. Some walks are gentle and easy whilst others are more strenuous. These latter walks are most likely to be in Derbyshire.
Other events are planned throughout the year. These include two weekends away, usually in the Spring and the Autumn (see the page on weekends away); two meals out - the Christmas lunch which is preceded by a short walk, and the anniversary dinner which is held on an evening in October each year.
So for any of you who are keen on walking, why not come to the Summer Gathering and have a chat with us, so we can tell you all about our wonderful outings. If you can't wait to join, you don't have to as members of the public are welcome to join, this can be done by just turning up at the start of the walk, or by ringing the walk leader in advance and letting him/her know that you expect to join the walk.
