Stonebridge City Farm

Stonebridge City Farm has been described by visitors as "an unexpected oasis in the city". We are ten minutes walk from the city centre yet have a variety of farm and small animals, lovely gardens demonstrating just how much produce you can grow in a small space, a farm shop and a cafe. Volunteers from all sectors of the community work on the farm which is free to enter and open every day of the year except Christmas Day.

If you'd like to learn to grow your own food, need help starting up, are worried that you don't have enough space or are interested in learning about bee-keeping we can help with our "Green Street" project which has been funded by the Big Lottery Fund to help produce local food for the community. Grow your own food in window boxes, tyres, containers, raised beds or other limited spaces - or even larger gardens and community growing areas with the help and encouragement of the Outreach Worker giving you a start-up visit and ongoing support from the farm. Join a Beekeeping course at the farm or get advice and guidance from our bee-keeper. Join our mailing list and keep informed about regular workshops and events at the farm.

On the day of the West Bridgeford Summer Gathering we will be selling plants, eggs and honey and showing you how you can grow pots of Mixed Salad and Herb Leaves to take home and grow on your windowsill.
