What is Nordic Walking? It’s a full body workout that can be done by anyone from elderly relative to elite sports person – if you can walk you can Nordic walk. During the taster session you’ll have a gentle introduction to learning the special technique, which results in at least 20% higher calorie burn compared with ordinary walking. It’s a fun workout that can be done in town or country. Catherine discovered Nordic Walking during a sabbatical. She changed career 7 years ago, leaving the pharmaceutical industry to move to prescribing Exercise as a Medicine. Exercise has so many benefits for a wide range of physical and mental health conditions, without side effects that drugs often have. Catherine is a qualified Personal Trainer, National Nordic Walking instructor and also holds the GP referral qualification.
